Russia to give 4.5 bln rbl/yr in subsidies to remote airports
MOSCOW, Sep 11 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will allocate 4.5 billion rubles per year to support of remote airports, according to a document seen by PRIME on Friday.
"The airports located in remote northern zones are subject to subsidies from the federal budget," the statement read.
According to the statement, 73 airports and 15 landing strips in the Far East, Siberia and the Northwest Federal District will receive the subsidies.
The measure is aimed at ensuring transport accessibility for the people living in the remote places.
